Women's Lightweight Open Front Casual Cardigans

A cardigan coat is one of those classic pieces that I deem as a wardrobe staple. It's perfect for those in-between seasons when you need a light jacket but aren't ready for a heavy coat. Plus, add a cardigan coat to just about any look, and you'll instantly look put-together. This must-have essential that I'm always on the hunt for every year is a great cardigan. I especially love this one because the fabric is ultra-soft and comfortable. It is made of thin knit fabric with stretch.

As the days get a little cooler, some of my favorite outfits for work involve cardigans. You can wear a white long-sleeve blouse with black leggings that are appropriate for work. The next way to wear the cardigan is with a chambray dress and boots for a casual fall weekend look!

The casual cardigans hit right below your hips, so you could easily wear this more casually with leggings, a graphic tee, and sneakers. The clean lines make it feel slightly more dressy, meaning this would also be a great addition to your fall work wear wardrobe. All you have to do is trade out these distressed mom jeans and bootie combination for classic black dress pants and neutral heels.

We are in the final countdown of summer. I love a good duster cardigan to carry you through fall and into winter. Not only are they ultra-comfortable, but chic too! Solid color and striped style with the side pockets both are attractive!

While a nice cardigan can be more of an investment piece, I've found it's always worth the money! Having a nice coat you can wear over and over again throughout the season is similar to having a nice handbag; it pays off in the long run!

When it comes to coats for the fall and winter, I usually gravitate towards clean lines for a more dressed-up look. Layer it over the top of a bodysuit and pair with your favorite distressed jeans like I did here, or pair with faux leather leggings and sneakers for a more casual vibe.

This look is the perfect summer-to-fall transitional look. When paired with a bodysuit and braided heels, it gives it a fall feel while still being appropriately dressed for the weather. As the temperature drops, trade out the open-toed heels for these booties and add a felt hat!
